About Warwick
  • Warwick is located 158 km south west of Brisbane via National Highway 15 and 480 m above sea level. It is the administrative centre of the Southern Downs Region local government area. The surrounding Darling Downs have fostered a strong agricultural industry for which Warwick, together with the larger city of Toowoomba, serve as convenient service centres.
  • Warwick is best known for its Roses, Rodeos and Sandstone heritage buildings.
  • Also known as the “Rose and Rodeo Capital” or the “Horsepower Capital of Australia”, Warwick is home to the Warwick Rodeo, as well as Morgan Park Raceway- host to world-class motor sport events.Sandy Creek, north west of Warwick has a karting track with regular go-cart races, and the annual Leyburn Sprints event is widely known in motor racing circles and is attended by crowds of enthusiasts.
